Submit Your Website to DuckDuckGo – DuckDuckGo is a privacy-focused search engine that doesn’t track your activity or keep search history. Steps to Submit Your Website to DuckDuckGo

Important Note: DuckDuckGo doesn’t provide a direct method to submit your website like we have a search console in Google. Because DuckDuckGo relies on the search index of the Bing search engine. So, if you want to submit your website to DuckDuckGo, you need to appear on Bing. We have Bing Webmaster Tool to submit our website to Bing.

Step 1: Signup on Webmaster Tools Website

Begin the process by creating an account on Webmaster Tools by going to You can signup for an account using Social authentication or an Email address.

Step 2: Add Website to Webmaster Tools

You need to open the list of all domains and click the “Add a site” option. Now enter your domain in the input box to continue with the verification or connect your account with the Google Search Console to import all the verified websites.

Step 3: Upload Verification File to Website

For verifying the ownership of a domain, you need to download the verification file and then upload the file to the root or public_html folder of the website.

Step 4: Click on the Verify button to check and verify the ownership.

After successfully uploading the file to the public_html folder, you need to click on the “Verify” button to complete the website’s ownership verification.

Step 5: Submit Sitemap to Webmaster Tools

After verification, your website will be added to the Bing Webmaster Tools dashboard. Now, choose the Sitemaps option in the side menu and submit your sitemap. You can generate your own sitemap and submit it using the following methods:

  • WordPress blog: Now, WordPress generates a sitemap on its own. But if you want to generate customized sitemap.xml, you can use the RankMath plugin.
  • XML-Sitemaps Generator: You can generate XML Sitemaps Generator to the generator to create a sitemap XML file which you can upload to your website and then add it to the Sitemap section of Webmasters Tool

What will happen now?

Once your website will be indexed by Bing and it will start appearing on Bing. DuckDuckGo will take the results from the Bing index and submit your website to DuckDuckGo index and this way your website will start appearing on DuckDuckGo.
