Honor Mate X | Folding Phone | MWC 2019

Honor has taken the smartphone market by a storm yet again. Honor Mate  X might not be the first folding phone in the market but surely is the best in terms of look and feel. This phone has a fold, yes you heard it right, the device comes with an outward folding glorious display. Honor Mate X competes with none other than the Samsung Galaxy Fold. But it is far better than the competition in terms of innovation. The device is an engineering marvel by Huawei. It is one of the best part of MWC 2019.

Honor Mate X comes with 2  AMOLED displays. The primary display is of 6.6-inch and a secondary display of 6.3.8-inch. These displays fold up to give a massive 8-inch display. The display is almost bezel-less with the resolution of 2200 X 2480 pixels.  How can we forget the camera? Huawei is known for its camera since the launch of P 20 Pro and Mate X is no exception to it. The device comes with a Leica quad camera setup. The primary camera is a warping 40 MP wide camera, a 16 MP ultrawide camera, 8 MP telephoto camera, and a TOF camera. The device is embedded with a side mounted fingerprint with a 4500 mAh battery. In terms of performance, Honor Mate X comes with companies latest HiSilicon Kirin  980 and 8 GB RAM. It comes with 512 GB expandable storage.

In my opinion, its really amazing innovation by honor in this stream of smartphones. The price may be a worry of some people, but we need to understand that this is the initial stage for such devices and high prices are obvious. On a whole, the device gives a new look and feel and breaks the shackles of the old and common notch design. I give a thumbs up to the  Honor Mate X.
