Augmented vs Virtual vs Mixed Reality. What’s the difference?

Several changes have been made in the technical sector over the past few years. Due to these changes, the view of the world has changed. The launch of Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) has completely changed the different business areas. These techniques have allowed people to have better interaction with technology, but do you know what AR and VR mean? Also do you know that MR technology is also available in addition to AR and VR. MR stands for Mixed Reality. It was introduced with Microsoft Hololance. Here we are telling you the meaning of these three seperately.

Augmented Reality

With the help of technology in Augmented Reality a digital world is created like the environment around you. It looks realistic to see it. This technique is being used in the fields of digital gaming, education, military training, engineering design, robotics, shopping, and medicine. This technique works through the camera. The Pokemon Go game, launched in 2016, is a good example of this. Additionally, Instagram and Snapchat provide live face stickers using this technique.

Virtual reality

Virtual reality is the opposite of Augmented Reality. In virtual reality, a different virtual world is created instead of Real World. A scene and voice are used for this. For this, a headset has been made in which the camera is present. Such VR headset are available in the market. These include HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Google Daydream View. This technique is used in gaming, but it is also used in professional training such as doctors, pilots, and hostepetality sectors. Let me tell you that this technique is very expensive and not everyone can afford it.

Mixed Reality

Mixed Reality Platform is offered by Microsoft. This technique has been made available with Holocaust. In this, AR and VR work together. This means that the camera remains attached to the headset in this technique. The camera used for the Augmented Reality creates a virtual reality effect. This technique is expected to grow rapidly in the coming time. AR and VR are considered to be better and more elaborate. This can be the work of industrial works and medical professionals in the coming days.
